Our Heritage: Four Decades of Precision
The story of Steelcrest Precision is rooted in the uncompromising standards set by Wauseon Machine more than 40 years ago. While the Wauseon name evolved to encompass diverse manufacturing capabilities, the commitment to the machined component and tooling customer has always been our core identity.
1983: Precision is Established
The company was founded as a small machine shop, with an immediate and relentless focus on precision. Our initial mission was clear: to serve as the region's trusted source for build-to-print parts, prototypes, and expert-level tooling. This foundation of detailed machining and high quality established the DNA that is now Steelcrest Precision.
1988 - 2022: Growing the Component Expertise
Over the next three decades, our machining and fabrication operations grew significantly. We continuously invested in advanced CNC technology and honed the specialized craft of our toolmakers.
- Expanded Capacity: Our facility expanded to house over 100 CNC machines, allowing us to manage production quantities from low-volume, complex tooling projects to high-volume component runs.
- Material Mastery: We broadened our expertise to handle all grades of steel, specialty metals, composites, and engineered plastics, becoming known as the partner for the most demanding material applications.
- The Machining Core: Even as Wauseon Machine branched into automation and tube forming solutions (now Integrion Automation), the precision machining division remained the steady, reliable, and foundational core of the business.
Today: The Birth of Steelcrest Precision
In 2025, recognizing the need for absolute focus and dedication to the specialized needs of the machining customer, the precision division officially became Steelcrest Precision, A Wauseon Company.
This was not a separation, but an act of specialization. By dedicating our resources, facilities, and master toolmakers exclusively to component manufacturing, we have ensured the legacy of uncompromising precision continues—now with a sharp, singular focus to better serve our customers.

Our team is committed to helping make the communities we live and work in a better place. Giving back isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s core to our identity at Steelcrest Precision. From teaching local students about engineering to building homes for families, our team members volunteer their time and talents to make a difference. We want to work with people and businesses that share our passion for inspiring goodwill.
Programs and Partnerships
Steelcrest Precision promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and the skilled trades by offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors to further their training and education in these areas.
We regularly participate in local high school career fairs and industry awareness programs, Habitat for Humanity home building, Relay 4 Life, is active in the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation, and proudly support the annual city homecoming weekend as a Diamond sponsor.
Ohio Northern Capstone Project
Capstone projects enable upperclassmen to apply what they’ve learned in the real world. Steelcrest Precision is excited to partner with engineering students on such projects.
Habitat for Humanity Building Project
Steelcrest Precision team members volunteer with our local Habitat for Humanity chapter to help families build and improve places to call home in our community.
Fulton Leadership University
Fulton Leadership University training provides leadership development and network building opportunities for the next generation in and around Fulton County.
Educator “Bootcamp”
Steelcrest Precision prides itself in strengthening our communities through the development of local talent. That's why we are a participant in "Educator Bootcamp" through the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation and Northwest Ohio Education Service Center.
This program provides educators with the opportunity to tour local businesses and learn what career paths are in their “backyard” and what skills their students need to be successful in them.
Relay for Life
Steelcrest Precision team members proudly participate in the Relay for Life movement, dedicated to helping communities attack cancer.
